Sagada

Mountan Province, Philippines (2016)

Sagada is up in the Mountain Province and famous for it’s hanging coffins. It’s terrain is popular for outdoor activities like trekking, nature hikes, spelunking, bonfires, picnics and rappelling. Tribal celebration are still performed so this attracts tourists and invite most of them to participate including wearing the traditional dress and dance. I went there in early 2016, a bit cooler weather and really enjoyable time to travel. Since my mother spoke Ilocano she could easily interact with the locals, we got good deals and met new friends.
