Higashiyama looks like a movie set, a preserve feudal-era Japan with Centuries-old Zen and Shinto wooden Shrine and hillside temple Kiyomizudera and overlooks the city. It’s touristy but the energy of the people is exciting because everyone is cosplaying, at least that’s how I feel. People in kimono, couples taking wedding pictures and some even in Geisha. Two days is not enough here, there’s too much too explore, it’s visually overwhelming.
