Bakthapur Durbar Square a Unesco World Heritage, built in the 1696 by the Malla Dynasty is the royal palace of the Bakthpur kingdom located in Kathmandu Valley. It is a paradise for photographer virtually unchanged since the 17th century, every corner tells a story. It’s like leaping back in time. The entire square is littered with stone temples mostly of animal sculptures. I arrived in the early morning from Kuala Lumpur. I spare no time and put my luggage in my hotel and quickly headed to the square. I did not bother renting a motorbike because I don’t think I could ever understood the driving style in Nepal. So I hire a car instead to bring me places at a reasonable price, of course. I was in Nepal in 2014, the following year a devastating earthquake hit Bakthapur, it is really sad to see this historical place in ruins. I learned that most of the temples were rebuilt and open to the public again.
