Sagarmatha in Nepali, Zhumulungma in Chinese and Chomolungma in Tibetan also know as Mt. Everest is the highest peak in the world at 8,849m (29,000ft). It’s a border Himalayan mountain between China and Nepal. On my second day I opted to take the mountain flight-seeing, because I don’t have 2 weeks to journey on foot plus I know that climbing to base camp is a perilous journey for me. We took off from Kathmandu on a small 12-seater aircraft. I’ve flown in this charter planes before and it’s a bit terrifying when a strong wind blow, but the entire flight was smooth. We flew along the mountain chains and I was awe struck by everything I am seeing, It was a clear sky, so I was assuming when we fly-by Everest it will be clear. I brought have my zoom lens, but unfortunately the weather change abruptly and it turned from clear to hazy, never mind the scratches on the window plane. The whole entire flight was about an hour and it was an unforgettable 1 hour of my life.
